Born Melanie Mindor, a 28 year old girl from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The eldest sibling of 2. She graduated from Harvard University and moved straight to California to become a Entrepreneur in business. Yeah, she knows how to love but she also means business.

Kalvin Sinclair, 32, from Washington, D.C., is one of the top lawyers in California. He, also graduated from Harvard where he met the love of his life. Being the only child and taking care of his mother after his father died, he had to step up and become the loving, loyal man he is today.

Six years ago, Melanie and Kalvin moved to Beverly Hills together and got married 4 years later. Their relationship may seem perfect but it's never to late for a slip up.....right?

Meet Brittany Divoe, 23, The spoiled princess. The younger cousin to Melanie and daughter of Laurie DiVoe. Born perfect. Everything she wanted, she got. Couldn't tell her nothing 'cause she was ALWAYS right. The stubborn type who really doesn't take much bullshit from anybody. She had beauty, aggression, power, attitude and even the PERFECT guy.

Colton Taylor, 25, born and raised in New Orleans moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to start a small business when he was just 18. Along the way, he met a then, kooky Brittany. Even though her attitude didn't match his interests, her beauty surely did. Colton was THAT guy every woman wanted. He's an intelligent, respectful, benevolent, and very much attractive man.

When they first met, they knew that they were the perfect couple. He had the money and she had the beauty. Colton always had the urge to spoil his baby whenever he brought home the money while Brittany always knew how to spend it. As if their relationship had no flaws, you'd think even "Perfect" people made mistakes too.

She's fiesty, she's clever, she's Laurie DiVoe. A 48 year old mother of Brittany and the eldest sibling of sister Claire Mindor. Laurie may not get along with everyone but she sure does knows her way around the cage. A former news reporter of the Baton Rouge area, now does jazz music for a living. With Laurie, you could never pull the wool over eyes or try to hide anything from her, because you'll never she's watching your every move. So Beware.

Claire & James Mindor

The strong bond that holds a family together are two individuals that have experience. Well for these two, they did just that.

Meet Claire DiVoe-Mindor, 45, Mother of 2 and a Wife of 25 years. A former Writer, Philanthropist and Teacher. Claire was born and raised in Baton Rouge with her older sister Laurie. She attended Spellman College and then moved to New York to pursue teaching at NYU for 9 years. Claire was very astute, honest and amiable. She was simply the peacemaker.

Then there was James Mindor, 48. A retired teacher from New York. He taught at NYU as well, where he met Claire. They got married and started their family right in New York City and has been living there ever since. James knew raising a family was a very important and that his kids would go off to be successful in their individual lives. When it came to striving for the best he meant business.

Derek The Great

Derek Mindor, 21, Baby brother of Melanie and Son of The Mindor's. A very chill laid back guy with a lot of future ahead of him. Derek attends college in Atlanta and does internship as a upcoming producer. He stays in touch with his parents as well as his sister. He's also good friends with Colton and chills with him from time to time.

Just when you thought your mother could be the sweetest woman on earth, she turns into the wicked witch.

This is Mrs. Bella DiVoe. A 67 year old woman who knows how to play a devil's hand. The woman that knew your game before you tried to play it on her. One to not talk much but to sit back and observe. You couldn't blame that her family came from a successful background. That mean she was obviously doing something right. As far as being a bit blunt and ingenious, that's what everyone knew her well for. Now that seeing where daughter Laurie and granddaughter Brittany got their traits from. One woman you had to be careful to trust.

The Backbones

Alicia and Dmetri

Alicia and Dmetri are the close friends of Melanie and Kalvin. Really the backbones for them if anything goes wrong. Alicia is a nurse in Beverly Hills and her husband Dmetri is a doctor at a LA hospital. They met them at a couples retreat a few years back in The Maldives. Ever since, they all remained close friends.

To have friends you can go talk to and have a drink with, to laugh and to receive advice from is nothing better than.

Thankfully, Kalvin also has friends like Montrell and CJ to make life a little easier. Their sense of humor brings a sort of light to the table when they all meet up and chill. Yeah they're men so they are gonna talk about, sports, success, relationships and of course sex. As long as there's a positive outcome to it at the end, they have no worries. And that's what friends are for.
